Abstract

This paper deals with modeling and control of double star smooth poles permanent magnet synchronous generator-PWM rectifiers set connected to standalone DC network. Firstly various dynamical model of DS-PMSG are recalled. Secondly the control of the energy conversion chain is investigated. The structure on the control has two loops. The inner loop is dedicated to controlling the power. It consists in controlling the currents in the reference dq and the non-sequential currents while minimizing the copper losses. The outer loop is dedicated to the DC bus voltage. Finally the shown and discussed simulation results highlight the effectiveness of the control strategy and design.
