Abstract

To satisfy the massive demand of wireless traffic in forthcoming cellular networks namely fifth generation and beyond, the rapid deployment of small cells is appearing as an engaging solution and accelerating the cellular or wireless network toward heterogeneity. A multi-tier heterogeneous network (HetNet) consists of several tiers of base stations having varied coverage capabilities. To maximize the coverage of a targeted tier of a multi-tier network optimal resource allocation is a mandatory process.
