Abstract
We propose discrimination and amplification device using phase sensitive amplification based on the second order nonlinear optical effects in phase-shifted periodically polled lithium niobate waveguides. The amplification characteristics in phase-shifted periodically polled structures were analysed by using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method.
