Abstract

In this work, a qualified audio random number generator that could be used in voice communication is presented. The audio random number generator needs only a microphone or a common equipment such as cellular phone or laptop, to generate qualified random number sequences. When applying NIST SP 800–22rev1a (published in April, 2010) 15 statistical tests on the audio random number generator, around 80% generating random number sequences will be qualified.
