Abstract

The aim of the article is to study and to analyze the establishment of the majoritarian role of one of several languages operating in a common space. Basing on historical events, analyzed is the process of consolidation of the dominant role of the Russian language in the Crimean region, which is one of three states languages, along with Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar. The article supports the need for a pragmatic approach to language issues in a multilingual society. The author noted that the language policy in a multicultural society should not only be targeted at the development of the languages of numerically dominant groups of population but also to preserve the languages of national minorities on the Peninsula.
多语社区语言发展的历史载体(克里米亚经验)
