Abstract

Bridges are an important part of transport infrastructure, and the data obtained by assessing seismic vulnerability of bridges are an important factor in making decisions about rehabilitation procedures and post-earthquake procedures. A significant number of bridges were built in Croatia in the pre-Eurocode era, and it is therefore important to perform an assessment of their seismic vulnerability. The assessment of bridges is carried out using probability curves. The methodology for development of probability curves is presented, and a short overview of basic types of bridges in Croatia is given.
