Abstract
A reliability program was conducted for the various electrical, HVAC, and mechanical services in support of the development of a new major computer operations center for Shearson Lehman Hutton. The program included: detailed risk analysis involving the architect, the design engineers, the construction managers, specialty consultants, and Shearson's engineering and computer user groups; correction of potential faults in design, construction, and operating procedures; factory and construction testing; preparation of special operating manuals; and annual reliability audits. A case history demonstrates reliable operation over a period of 1-1/2 years with no computer downtime.<>
