Abstract
This work presents the experimental validation of a detection and isolation strategy of current sensors and inverter switches faults in electric drives. This strategy is designed for an induction motor drive with two current sensors. The proposal is able to diagnose single and multiple current sensor faults, and single inverter switch faults. The proposed approach is validated using a variable speed drive with a 0.75 kW squirrel cage induction motor controlled by a field oriented strategy (FOC). Both, FOC and our proposal were implemented in the Texas Instruments DSP TMS320F28335.
