Aiming at the application and design requirements of the outrigger mechanism in the wrecker rescue vehicles, the basic components, types, operation requirements and stress analysis of the outrigger mechanism are proposed. The research results show that the design of the outrigger mechanism is an important part in the design of wrecker rescue vehicles. Abstract

Outrigger mechanism is one kind of important special operations units for wrecker rescue vehicles, and has a variety of forms. The legs are used to support the ground when lifting and unwinding the accident vehicle to improve the stability of the vehicle and prevent the tires of the wrecker from being overloaded. Aiming at the application and design requirements of the outrigger mechanism in the wrecker rescue vehicles, the basic components, types, operation requirements and stress analysis of the outrigger mechanism are proposed. The research results show that the design of the outrigger mechanism is an important part in the design of wrecker rescue vehicles. It has a great influence on the working stability of the whole vehicle during lifting operation, and greatly improves the anti-overturning ability of the wrecked vehicle when it is lifted laterally.
