The proposed monopole antenna is fed with the rectangular tapered 50-Ohm line. The ground shape is defected, like a semicircle. The antenna provides resonance frequency from 1.4 GHz to more than 90 GHz with return loss less than -10 dB. The compact size of the proposed design is $57 \\times 34 \\times1$ mm $^{\\mathbf{3}}$. The substrate of the proposed design is F4B having $\\varepsilon r$ 2.65. Two rectangular ring resonators were employed near the feed line that eliminates the narrowband i.e. X band in SWB range.
