Abstract

This paper presents a approach for tuning of proportional-integral control parameters through Genetic Algorithm (GA) to obtain optimal designed parameters. Intelligent Systems like GA is good searching algorithm that can be suitably adopted for optimal solutions. In this proposed approach, cost function specified in terms of integral time based absolute error is defined for GA. This method is applied for in implementation of Direct Torque Control (DTC) to illustrate its effective performance. The entire control scheme is implemented with Matlab/Simulink.
