It operates on the principle of single-probe measurement of the amplitude at many points of the standing wave. The setup is used for measurements in open space; it has a microwave generator, an Y-circulator and other waveguide elements with a cross section of 23x10 mm. Experimental measurements of the reflection from foam samples in the range of 1–7 cm have been carried out.
