Abstract
The electromagnetic fields which exist under power lines are computed. If the lines are perfectly balanced, the fields are of the order of a few V/m; but if the balance is distorted by %10 in amplitudes and by 10/spl deg/ is phases, they produce a field of the order of 35 V/m.
