Abstract
As a kind of electromagnetic functional material, radar absorbing material has the advantages of being easy to be shaped and suitable for irregular surfaces. It is very widely used in the military field. Therefore accurate measurement of permittivity of absorbing material is very important for military equipment. The proposed mu-near-zero (MNZ) medium sensor has a two-layer structure consisting of microstrip lines and channels with metal through holes. The permittivity of some typical absorbing materials is measured at the frequency of 11.14 GHz. The measured values are in good agreement with the reference value, which indicates the validity of the MNZ sensor in material measurement.
