In and Mobile: Security Aspects In The Merging Of Two Worlds

Abstract

Security is a critical aspect of today's telecom networks and services. Although there have been substantial developments on security in relation with mobile services, its association to IN services is fairly recent. This talk presents an overview of the latest achievements on this topic in R&D and in the standards, with considerations and examples. It also introduces a new topic, i.e. security concerns in integrated scenarios between mobile and intelligent networks, where research is still ongoing and several alternatives are available in the near future.
