In this paper, we surveyed segmentation on the spinal cord images using different techniques such as Data mining, Support vector machine, Neural Networks and Genetic Algorithm which are applied to find the disorders and syndromes affected in the spinal cord system. As a result, we have gained knowledge in an identified disarrays and ailments affected in lumbar vertebra, thoracolumbar vertebra and spinal canal. Abstract
