Abstract

This paper presents a comparison of the performance between a hexagonal network and a rectangular network under similar conditions. It also presents a comparison of performance of data transmission among cores between a proposed technique and a more standard technique. A hexagonal arrangement was used in the hopes that the additional connectivity would provide an increase in performance. An increase in performance was found, but only a modest one.
