TRADITIONS AND MODERN TIME IN THE KAMCHATKA ABORIGINES CULTURE (ON EXPEDITION MATERIALS)

Abstract

The article contains a short analysis of condition of such folklore genres as oral narrative art and ritual culture of Kamchatka aborigines. The source for research became the expedition materials to the following settlements of the Koryak okrug: Voyampolka of Tigilsky region, and Tymlat of Karaginsky region. During the study of the recorded texts previous years folklore-ethnographic data were also considered.
