There was once a company that prided itself on its industry leading approach to reliability and quality. It had won virtually all relevant awards and had all the certifications it could receive. But the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) had a ‘hunch.’ He was not convinced that his company was performing to the level that warranted the external recognition it received.
