With the continuous improvement of measurement requirements, pulse electroacoustic method has gradually evolved some novel measurement methods, such as two-dimension PEA, three-dimension PEA, portable PEA, PEA in multilayer dielectric, etc. The principle of above methods is introduced, and the advantages and disadvantages of each method are summarized and analyzed in this paper.
