Abstract

Multiple access interference (MAI) is the most significant limiting factor on the capacity of the conventional DS-CDMA systems. In this paper an analysis of the character of MAI is carried out. The main causes of intra-cell MAI and their effects on the system are highlighted through simulation and analysis.
