The purpose of this study is to explore how organisational politics affect motivational and hygiene factors in relation to job satisfaction.Aim: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between organisational politics and job satisfaction amongst police officials in a selected South African police service station in the Limpopo province.Setting: An empirical investigation was undertaken using a sample of 114 police officers drawn using the random sampling technique.Methods: A quantitative methodology, using self-administered surveys consisted of the Perception of Politics Scale (POPS) and Job Satisfaction Questionnaire (JSQ) was employed to collect data. The data were analysed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), version 24.
