Abstract

This paper presents ,a model for the calculation of the input impedance of probe fed conformal cylindrical microstrip antennas covered by a protection layer. The model is based on the Green’s function for the multilayered cylindrical structure calculated in the Fourier domain. The moment method is used to :solve the integral equation resulting from the application of the pertinent boundary conditions, and to obtain the unknown current distribution over the patch. The input impedance of a probe fed wraparound antenna is calculated by using the proposed model.
