Risk Analysis in Agriculture and Methods to Manage Them

Abstract

The paper considers the risks to which farms specializing in production in two sectors are exposed: crop production and animal husbandry. The ways to deal with these risks are listed. Insurance and hedging are discussed in more detail as these methods. In animal husbandry, in case of lack of feed, a method for maximizing the production based on a dynamic model of animal husbandry is proposed. The problems of information support associated with this are discussed.
