Abstract
This paper deals with the design of an integrated active filter for M-sequence UWB radars compliant with ECC frequency band for UWB devices. The main goals of the design are low-cost ASIC technology, minimized chip area occupation and low power consumption. For the design based on a simple unconventional negative feedback approach, the schematic and layout design phases are described. The proposed circuit is verified by pre-layout as well as post-layout simulations. The achieved results show that the approach proposed in this paper could allow the tunable bandpass filter to be integrated into the M-sequence radar system on chip and therefore reduce the number of required external components in the final application.
