Abstract

This work will determine by a computational way the feasibility of the observation of a 3.5KeV X-ray line emission attributed to the sterile neutrino as a candidate of dark matter through the simulation of the effects produced by galactic protons impacting with CCD detectors located in DarkNESS experiment satellite. For this simulation, satellite’s virtual construction was done using Geant4 software, the bombardment of galactic protons through reconstructed data obtained with the phenomenological model CREME-96, and this massive data was analyzed with root software. Obtained data concluded that galactic protons does not produce interference significant enough for the scale of energy of our interest.
