The objective is to interpret the interviewee’s performance as well as to analyze the song he played, considering his trajectory and the context of the television show. We have in mind the artist’s position on Brazilian popular music (MPB) and the independent production, affected at the end of that century by technological and cultural changes. The model of song analysis by Luiz Tatit (2002) and the vectors associated with the concept cancao das midias , by Heloisa de A. D. Valente (2003), are taken as theoretical references. Therefore, we observe the constant tension in the mediatic and cultural context between the critical stance and adequacy.
