An integrated approach using the results of basic research and various tools and methods of transmitting information is considered under the example of developing a distance advanced course for computer science teachers. In the course of fundamental research (2018-2020) of the influence of programming on the development of thinking of students in schools, new knowledge was obtained and various methodological techniques were developed for teaching programming. The distance course, which consists of 7 modules, includes some of the results of this research and is intended for computer science teachers. 21 students from different regions of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Sakha studied on the distance course in a short time.
