Abstract

For quality control to be cost-effective, modern measuring processes must demonstrate a higher degree of complexity. While test methods for physical properties can produce precise and repeatable results, the measurement of vibro-acoustical properties, because of the accompanying subjectivity, has the possibility for greater improvement. Using the example of truck blowers, the authors describe how Schenck RoTec is working on the dominant characteristics of a modern test and diagnostic system.
