Infomed: le dossier patient partagé valaisan

Abstract

The project Infomed, aims to implement a Health Information Exchange (HIE) in the Canton of Valais according to the recommendations of the Swiss Confederation eHealth strategy. Infomed is entirely based on international standards, e.g. IHE for the exchange and storage of documents and HL7 CDA-CH for the format of documents, in order to improve the interoperability of Infomed with other Swiss communities and partners. The connection of electronic health records from physician practices and hospitals is not trivial for editors who aren’t familiar with IHE. Therefore, a connection kit is offered; it contains a digest of IHE documentation and samples of SOAP messages. To allow the set-up of the Shared Electronic Patient Record regional legislation will be adapted upon the adoption of a dedicated ordinance.
