Abstract

We investigate a novel coherent receiver for Analog-over-Fiber systems that does not employ digital phase estimation or phase-locked loops; instead it uses a feed-forward carrier recovery analog circuit. The receiver is presented and its performance with multicarrier RF signals is investigated by means of numerical simulations.
