Abstract
. Breast cancer is a disease that impacts and is feared by all women. Every country's high incidence of breast cancer is a household chore. Early detection becomes difficult by a lack of knowledge and awareness, which is aggravated by hazardous lifestyle choices. Breast self-examination (BSE) can help prevent this problem from developing. This study aims to examine the degree of knowledge and attitudes of young women toward early identification of breast cancer. This research was conducted using a survey with a descriptive research design. Purposive sampling was used in this study, and the population consisted of class XII girls. The sample consists of 70 young female pupils from the class. A questionnaire was utilized as the instrument. According to the study's findings, the majority of respondents aged 17 were 43 female students (61%). As many as 39 female students (56% of those polled) have little awareness of early detection of breast cancer. As many as 41 (59% of respondents) were optimistic about early identification of breast cancer. Efforts to raise knowledge about early breast cancer detection must be communicated and packaged appealingly so that young women are willing and encouraged to perform early self-breast inspections.
