Abstract

The Romanian tramway line between Sibiu and Rasiʹnari had been under lingering threat for many years. Then news came that regular operation had ceased in early 2011, but in an unusual piece of reincarnation, this tramway is still working--though hardly in conventional form-- Mike Russell relates its remarkable story.
