Abstract

In this article, the applicability of an UHF circular microstrip antenna with slotted ground plane in the detection of partial discharges in power transformers was analyzed. Dimensional parametric analyzes were carried out for the design of an antenna with optimized performance. The values of bandwidth, size, gain and directivity obtained allow to classify the designed antennas applicable in the detection of partial discharges in power transformers.
