Abstract

At present, the planning agencies define the percentage objectives of renewable generation with the purpose of diversifying the energy matrix and achieving technical, economic and environmental sustainability. The objectives in the background may pursue different approaches when determining the optimum or mostly recommended percentage. The present work focuses on determining relevant technical and economic criteria that allow the definition of adequate wind penetration rates.
