By using this method, the influence of different outdoor temperatures on energy consumption is eliminated, and the energy consumption at the same outdoor temperature is obtained. The linear relationship between heating energy consumption and degree-days is obtained through the physical model of heating house. A standard linear regression can obtain reliable estimates of unknown model parameters. Energy consumption values of different heating methods under the same external environment are calculated. The effect of outdoor temperatures on energy consumption is rectified by using a reliable estimate of the relationship between energy consumption and heating degree-days. Abstract
This paper presents an energy consumption rectification method based on heating degree-days.
