Poverty Removal Strategies and Tools – The Case of Indian Subcontinent

Abstract

The author assets that the poverty removal should be the first priority for every policy maker. Taking examples from India, the author mentions SHG and women empowerment as tools for poverty removal. The author also mentions about financial inclusion and other initiatives. The author assets that proactive policies should be promoted in order to attain the sustainable development goal of removal of poverty.
