Abstract

This paper presents Hybrid pulse width modulation (HPWM) strategies for single phase H-bridge inverters. The proposed hybrid modulation method is an amalgamation of square wave modulation and pulse width modulation (PWM). The main perspective of this modulation is the reduction of switching losses in addition to inheriting the characteristics of classical PWM strategies and balanced power loss dissipation among the devices in the H-bridge inverter.
