Besides, the proposed antenna has a low profile of about $0.03 \\lambda_{0}$ ($\\lambda_{0}$ is the space wavelength at center operating frequency) with good radiation performances across the impedance bandwidth including a stable gain, symmetrically unidirectional radiation patterns in both of the two principal planes and especially, a significantly low cross polarization. The antenna is designed, fabricated and measured. Abstract

Based on the complementary antenna concept of combining an electric dipole with a magnetic dipole, a linearly polarized substrate integrated waveguide(SIW) cavity-backed magneto-electric(ME) dipole antenna has been proposed.
