Reasons for the use of EESS in modern power industry are described. Abstract

This article examines the implementation of intelligent power storage systems and their operation in the environment of the Russian Federation electricity market. The authors consider the operational principles and technical peculiarities of operation of intelligent electrical energy storage systems, their classification, and peculiarities of external grid energy supply by electrical energy storage systems (EESS). The classification of EESS into intelligent and non-intelligent is provided. The main problems of introducing intelligent energy storage systems are highlighted.
