Abstract

This paper describes the effect of variation of height on the performance of normal mode helical antenna (NMHA) for fixed length of wire and small circular ground plane. The performance of NMHA with respect to variation in thickness of wire and ground plane size has also been carried out. After studying the effects of various parameters, appropriate values of the parameters are selected and the prototype antenna has been fabricated for operation around 2.45 GHz. The measured results are in good agreement with simulated results.
