Reactive real time exploitation of flexible manufacturing systems

Abstract

Flexible manufacturing systems (FMS) exploitation is becoming increasingly difficult to manage for human operators. Therefore, it is necessary to propose reactive modes management capable of providing in real time necessary information helping the reconfiguration and the changing of mode in FMS. From the FMS description, we construct soft bricks corresponding to machine roundups and to abstractions of the FMS. The asynchronous language ARGOS is used.<>
