Fatores ambientais da CIF e vida diária no Parkinson

Abstract

Introduction: The International Classification of Functionality (ICF) aims to standardize language, and organize and corelate information from a biopsychosocial perspective, classifying individuals’ functioning based on assessment instruments’ results. Parkinson's disease (PD) is a multifactorial health condition, which requires specific set of instruments. Objective: To analyze the correlation between the PD’s Motor Aspects of Daily Life Experiences (MEVD) to environmental factors of CIF core sets. Methodology: This is a cross-sectional pilot study. The modified Hoehn and Yahr (HeY) Scales, UPDRS-MDS part II (M-EVD), and a questionnaire prepared by the researchers based on the ICF were applied. Results: The sample consisted of 14 people with PD, HeY 2.33 ± 0.60. There was no significant correlation between M-EVD and ICF Environmental Factors. Conclusion: Instruments validated in literature for specific use in PD do not necessarily bring, at the disease ́s moderate stage, a correlation to ICF Environmental Factors.
