Abstract
In this letter, a new compact liquid crystal polymer based CPW-fed tri-band antenna is presented which printed on liquid crystal polymer (LCP) substrate with a thickness of 0.1mm and has a small overall dimensions of $\mathrm{20mm\times 32mm\times 0.1mm}$. The simulation results show that the antenna can work at 2.33-2.54 GHz, 3.24-3.91 GHz and 4.80-8.07 GHz, covering the WLAN 2.4/5.2/5.8GHz, WiMAX 3.5/5.5GHz and 5G bands. To test the flexibility of the antenna, the antenna was rolled on a cylinder with two radii $R=\mathrm{10mm}$ and $R=\mathrm{50mm}$. The flexible, compact, simple design and multi-band performance proves that the antenna is suitable for integration in flexible electronic devices.
