Abstract

Production logistics for automobile manufacturing needs to adapt to new production layouts and methods within the upcoming years. Based on the continuing growth of individualization of vehicles in the premium segment and alternative drive concepts, economical productions, based on Henry Ford's conveyor system, will become difficult. Therefore, new flexible and adaptable production logistics concepts will be used to achieve the goal of a flexible and changeable automotive production.
