Abstract
Noise figure (NF) is an important factor that affects the sensitivity of the receiving system. It reflects the extent to which the SNR of the receiving system is deteriorated by its internal noise. In this paper, three common noise figure measurement methods are introduced in detail, and their measurement principles, measurement procedures and measurement uncertainties are described in detail, and the applicable test occasions of each measurement method are given through comparative analysis, which provides guidance for efficient evaluation of receiving system performance under different test conditions.
