Undergraduate power courses and competitive education: course development community style

Abstract

The objective of this paper is to motivate and describe an approach for establishing a course development approach in electric power given the context of competitive education where different sub-disciplines compete for the interest of students. A key component of this approach is that course development and maintenance be done within a broader community than exists at a single university. Use of course modules, together with Internet-based automated coordination and dissemination of these modules, facilitates this.
