Abstract
This work presents a multimedia synchronization system that supports real-time communication and presentation of pre-orchestrated data. The synchronization mechanisms and the developed multimedia synchronization service are based on the XOCPN (extended object composition Petri net) model. The paper describes aspects concerning the system implementation, including the implementation architecture and environment, the XOCPN data structures and the specialized modules related to the synchronization mechanism. The presented system provides a complete support to applications that communicate multimedia data and helps users to compose multimedia objects. The proposed implementation seems to be very efficient.
