Abstract

In this paper, we have developed a new design of a low cost meander line RFID tag antenna mounted on a substrate made by using a 3D printing technology. The proposed structure can work in the operating frequency of U.S. UHF RFID band, which is from 902 to 928 MHz. Performance of the proposed design was investigated with simulations and measurements. The experimental results show that the maximum reading range of the proposed antenna is about 5 m in free space.
