Technology100 - An Application for Women Safety

Abstract

In our country, the crime rate against women is increasing at an appalling rate. Safety of women is of utmost importance and technology can be used for this purpose. An application that can help women in danger is the need of the hour. Women will feel safe and secure while travelling alone or going to unknown places. Their family can track them. In case of an emergency, the concerned authorities and family members can be informed and immediate help can be provided.We propose to develop a cross platform application in flutter which will serve this purpose. Prevention before any mishap is better. Hence the user can scan the QR code of their vehicle of transport and send it to their relatives. On any kind of discomfort or sense of danger, the woman can press any one of the triggers which will immediately send the live location to the emergency contacts and concerned authorities within the Geofence hence making it possible for help to reach them immediately. Automatic video, image and audio capturing of the surrounding will take place which can then be used to catch the attacker. Users will be notified when they enter unsafe zones. Various other features like chatroom, defense tutorials are available in the application.
